I'm in the beginning stages of planning a "mini gamecube" build and am trying to select the most cost efficient sbc that can run dolphin. ETA Prime posted a video of dolphin running pretty flawlessly on an Lattepanda Alpha, but that is a bit more than I'd like to spend at nearly $400.

Some people here may have already heard about this, but following the announcement of ALttP2 and the discussions that have been going on here at ZU, I started to think about when I'd ever get to play a game like WW or TP on a mobile device. I did some searching and it seems that day is a lot closer than I had thought. I play a lot of old games on my phone with emulators so this is probably better news to me than a new Zelda game.

I take it you don't play games on your phone or at least not on emulators. For the people that do, it's a big deal. Gaming is the only reason I even decided to get a smartphone. Since I'm carrying my cell around all the time anyways, I figured a smartphone would be worth it if I could do a lot of gaming on it. So far I'm not disappointed at all, there are so many emulators on the Play Store and a lot of great mobile games too.

I would guess that in a year the developers will have a pretty good emulator, and a lot of people (that care about this kind of thing) will have upgraded to better phones. To me a year is soon, and I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, considering he has only just started to really work at this.

N64, PS1, SNES, and many other emulators run GREAT on Android. Maybe not perfect, but far beyond just playable. So now lets at something newer like PSP. All I'm comparing is that if PSP emulation has come such a long way in less than a year(even for low end devices), why would you doubt that on a high end device like the S4 or beyond, that GCN emulation wouldn't be possible. To me, seeing Twilight Princess run 20 FPS on an S4 would be amazing and I wouldn't doubt that in a years time that will happen.

The problem with original Dolphin's transparency is that... i can't use certain plugins coz the edge will look like crap on some of them but if i could split the image into alpha and the texture, then i can apply the plugin to both images.

There's also the fact that... even with a black BKG, Dolphin's texture doesn't look like the Ishiiruka one. Dolphin texture with black BKG seems to have a higher contrast so i'd say there's some lost info there since that's sort of a compression of the dynamics that you can't undo... it's like trying to mix a song where every stem is heavily compressed.. there's not much you can do to restore the dynamics once it's squashed.

End of razius messages. So based on what little I know, Dolphin is converting the "black" value of single channel textures (I4/I8) to that of one with transparency (IA4/IA8?). Wiimms ISO Tools and Ishiiruka correctly dump these texture formats with intensity ranging from black-white rather than alpha-white. In the conversion Dolphin is doing, it appears that at least half the intensity is lost.

Dolphin Emulator is a powerful Nintendo Wii and GameCube emulator, completely free and open source, which allows you to enjoy almost the entire catalog for these two consoles on Android devices. Like the versions for desktop computers (Windows, Linux, and Mac), the emulator will allow you to enjoy many improvements, both graphically and in terms of general features.

One of the most striking improvements of Dolphin Emulator is its wide range of resolutions. Depending on the size and density of your device's screen, you can enjoy resolutions ranging from 720p to 2K or even 4K. The emulator also offers many graphic configuration options that will allow you to customize and improve your experience: V-Sync, Shaders, Anti-Aliasing, post-processing effects, and so on. All this means, in short, that you will be able to enjoy your games as they looked on their original consoles, but you will also be able to improve them to make them look much better. The decision, in the end, is yours.

Configuring the visuals of Dolphin Emulator is a relatively simple process, but it can be quite time-consuming if you want to get the most out of your Android device. The good thing? The emulator is so scalable and offers so many options that, regardless of your terminal, you will most likely be able to play almost all GameCube or Wii titles. With a high-end device, you will get higher resolutions and better performance, but even with mid-range devices, you can run games at some of the more modest resolutions.

Back in the day, playing with friends on the same console was the only way to share the experience, but thanks to Dolphin Emulator you can now also do it over the Internet. Thanks to the Netplay function, you can play any GameCube or Wii title with your friends, even if everyone is in their own home or even on the subway. The only requirements are that all players have the game in question on their list, have a high-speed Internet connection, and are using the emulator's same version. If you meet all these requirements, you can enjoy multiplayer like never before.

Dolphin Emulator is, without any doubt, the definitive emulator for Wii and GameCube. In addition, it is a project in constant development, as it has been receiving almost daily updates since its first version was released in 2003, so if a particular game does not work properly with one version, the next update may fix that particular problem. As if all this were not enough, there are many homebrew ROMs totally free, which you can play legally without any problems.

Yes, Dolphin Emulator is free. The first version of the emulator, in 2003, had a proprietary license. In 2008, however, Dolphin Emulator was moved to a GPLv2 license, and in 2013 it was relicensed with GPLv2+.

This is exactly the same as the non-pro version!

If you like the idea of having a gamecube emulator on your Android device and want me to push out updates and features more quickly;Think about buying this version. This may be exactly the same as the non-pro version, aside from the shiny golden icon, but it helps the development process by giving the developers money to directly work on improving this emulator.

This can help with:

Getting developers the money needed to buy the latest devices to make sure it runs well.

Incentive to help port it to new devices (Intel Bay Trail devices, iDevices?)

Money needed to feed the developers so they don't starve to death while developing this.

The time required to put in to such a project to make it as quick as possible.Tegra 3 devices crash right away. I don't know why yet
