The first DollarCon was held in January 2007 as a annual event. Park Previs was the first host, then Tim Tilbury took it over after in October 2010.
Tim, aka Out4Blood, was an incredibly talented and capable gamer of all stripes. He was top 20 in his class at West Point where he dominated war games with an impressive victory record. He was a globally ranked AOE player in the early days of online gaming, which brought him to the attention of the ruling house of Abu Dhabi, and he'd eventually teach the Sheik to play AOE and host a tournament there in 2000.
Tim helmed DollarCon, always making guests feel welcome, and performing as the "final boss" at many a game table. He had an infectious laugh, enjoyed a challenge, and was always ready to debrief after a game.
Tim suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on December 1st 2012. Tim's family lost a loving husband and devoted father, DollarCon lost its host, and the gaming community lost a veteran gamer and teacher.
Tim's wife, Wendy, and his children would take over hosting and organizing DollarCon in 2013, honoring Tim's legacy and growing DollarCon into the successful event it is tody.
During the Spring 2025 DolarCon, Wendy announced she was taking a well earned retirement. Amy, Bryan, Catelynn and Jordan are taking over the reigns and hope to bring you many more DollarCons in the future.
