Blake Morris (1951-2026)
Hello everyone,
It is with deep sadness that the DollarCon team learned of the passing of our friend Blake in July, right as we were choosing the dates for our Fall meet-up. Blake had been gaming with us since 2010, even attending the Spring 2026 event despite being in a wheelchair (thanks Troy).
Blake loved board game events, teaching new games to others, and hosting weekly gaming sessions. As his health worsened, he donated over 100 games from his personal collection to the RiVirCon Game Library, which has been named in his honor.
If you played a game with Blake, whether at DollarCon or not, please take a moment to add to the memorial on Board Games Geeks here.
Blake had many other passions besides gaming, and will be missed far outside of our community. You can find his obituary here.
Farewell Blake, we will keep your chair open.
