Artist Statement |Bio

My fine artwork is influenced by my Eurasian heritage and horses, themes of alienation, and my belief in Japanese kami or spirit... the notion that "all" persons, places, or things have being.

My oil and acrylic paintings are expressionist and abstract-- they reflect or react to a person, place, or thing.

My clay and bronze sculptures are figurative. Known for their sensuous lines and unfinished surfaces, my sculptures are built around such themes as love, rage, and fear.

I switch disciplines, subjects, mediums, and styles to satisfy my ever-changing visual and sensuous self.
