Statement Bio

My fine artwork, not my commercial art, is founded upon my Eurasian heritage and horses, themes of alienation, and my belief in Japanese kami or spirit... the notion that "all" persons, places, or things have being.

In an art historical context--

My oil and acrylic paintings are expressionist and abstract. They reflect or react to a person, place, or thing.

My clay and bronze sculptures are figurative. Known for their sensuous lines and unfinished surfaces, my sculptures are built around such themes as love, rage, and fear.

I switch mediums and styles to satisfy my visual and sensuous self.
