Caledonia (and other stories from the end of time) is my most recent and current writing project, in fact I'm using my breaks from writing this to write some more of it.
It follows the end of the world from the perspective of three people: Caledonia, a young girl who grew up very sheltered from the world in a house in Colorado, Jacob, Caly's neighbour and a soldier who is fighting in the war, and Oliver, a city boy who lost his family in the conflict.
The story is still under development, but I can say that there will be lots of twists and turns as the characters try to fight against the ends, then come to terms with it. Though all the characters lives and experiences are unique, they converge and branch off, providing a look at lots of perspectives.
This novel is heavily influenced by the current state of politics and my own fears about war and nuclear power.
Because I only just started to write this novel, there's very little I can say, but I'm really enjoying this project and can't wait to see where it goes!
