1. Introduction

Doc Fill PDF Editor and Merger ("App", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding any information that may be processed when you use our App.

This policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, including Apple's requirements for apps that handle user data.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Doc Fill PDF Editor and Merger is designed with privacy by default. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

3. Data Processed Locally on Your Device

When you use the App, the following data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Documents and Files

All files you open, edit, or process using the App remain on your device at all times. This includes:

PDF files you open for editing or form filling

Text, signatures, drawings, shapes, and images you add to documents

Merged or compressed PDF files you create

Any documents you import from your device storage, iCloud Drive, or other apps

Signatures

Signatures you create using the Sign tool are stored locally on your device only, for your convenience. They are never uploaded to any server. You can delete saved signatures at any time from within the App.

App Preferences

Your in-app settings and preferences (such as tool defaults) are stored locally using Apple's standard on-device storage and are not transmitted off your device.

4. App Features and Data Handling

Below is a summary of how each feature in the App handles your data:

Form Filler

Text Tool: Text is added to your PDF locally. Not transmitted.

Sign Tool: Signatures are drawn and saved on-device only.

Pencil Tool: Freehand drawings are applied to your PDF locally.

Shape Tool: Shapes are rendered on your PDF locally.

Erase Tool: Erased content is modified locally on-device.

Image Tool: Images you insert are processed locally.

PDF Management

Merge PDF: Files are combined locally on your device. No files are uploaded.

Compress PDF: File compression is performed on-device. No files are uploaded.

5. Apple Platform Services

As an App Store app, Doc Fill PDF Editor and Merger operates within the Apple ecosystem. Certain Apple services may collect data independently and subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy:

Apple In-App Purchases

If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple Inc. We receive only a confirmation of your purchase status (active or expired). We do not receive your payment information, Apple ID, or any personal data from Apple in connection with your purchase.

iCloud and Files App Integration

If you open or save documents via iCloud Drive or the Apple Files app, those files are handled by Apple's infrastructure under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not control or have access to files stored in iCloud.

App Store Analytics

Apple may collect aggregate, anonymized analytics about App Store usage (such as number of downloads and crash logs) as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. 6. Third-Party SDKs and Libraries

Doc Fill PDF Editor and Merger does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or social media SDKs.

Any third-party open-source libraries used within the App are used solely for core functionality (such as PDF rendering and processing) and do not independently collect or transmit your personal data.

7. Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions, solely to provide its core features:

Photo Library Access — Only if you choose to insert an image from your photo library using the Image tool. We do not access your photo library without your explicit action.

Files and Storage Access — To open and save PDF documents on your device or connected cloud storage. Access is granted only when you initiate a file operation.

Camera Access — Only if a future document scanning feature is enabled and only when you explicitly activate it.

All permissions are optional and requested only when needed. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device Settings app. Revoking a permission will disable the corresponding feature but will not affect other App functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store, meaning it is suitable for all ages. However, the App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction under local law, such as 16 in certain EU member states).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal data from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data through our App.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us through means outside the App, please contact us at the address below and we will promptly address your concern.

9. Data Security

Because all document processing occurs entirely on your device, your documents are protected by the security measures built into your Apple device, including:

iOS device encryption (enabled when you set a passcode)

Apple's sandboxing technology, which prevents other apps from accessing the App's data

Face ID / Touch ID protection if enabled on your device

We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and enabling a strong passcode to maximize the security of documents processed through the App.

In the event that any future update to the App involves data transmission, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain your consent before implementing such changes.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data held by us to delete. All data associated with the App (documents, signatures, settings) is stored exclusively on your device.

You can delete all App data at any time by:

Deleting the App from your device (this removes all locally stored App data)

Clearing individual saved signatures within the App settings

Managing App storage through iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Doc Fill

11. International Users and Legal Compliance

Doc Fill PDF Editor and Merger is available globally through the Apple App Store. Since the App does not collect personal data, cross-border data transfer restrictions (such as those under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)) are generally not applicable.

GDPR (European Union / UK)

For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom: we do not act as a data controller or data processor with respect to personal data, as we do not process personal data. Apple may act as a data controller for certain platform-level data as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

CCPA (California, USA)

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete.
