Web-Based Sources
Wizards of the Coast has created an official website that players and Dungeon Masters can utilize for all their basic needs when playing Fifth Edition Dungeons and Dragons. DNDBeyond not only contains every sourcebook, adventure, and supplemental book for the game in a digitized format, but also includes online tools such as character and encounter builders, and eventually their own Virtual Tabletop players and Dungeon Masters can use for their games.
A large portion of homebrew content for Dungeons and Dragons that is published for-profit is published through the Dungeon Master’s Guild website. Not only are creators able to share their homebrew creations with a large audience online and be compensated for it, but the website also works well with Virtual Tabletops such as Roll20 and Foundry. This allows players and Dungeon Masters to use the content online without having to worry about converting the content by hand, making this website a useful tool for players interested in finding homebrew content.
Wizards of the Coast host an official Dungeons and Dragons website which includes all official content published across all recognized platforms. Wizards includes resources for learning to play the game, finding games for both Players and Dungeon Masters, listening to podcasts that discuss D&D, viewing recent official products, and accessing DNDBeyond through this site.
