Historically, Highmoor was the breadbasket of all of Adrasteia. Located in central Adrasteia, the fertile region that surrounded Highmoor made it so copious amounts of wheat and other food crops were able to be produced. The city primarily worships epithets of Ulin, Ruen, and Loxias that revolve around the harvest, but worship of Desma and the Hikaru was not uncommon. Highmoor was and is not particularly tolerant of LGBTQ+ couples. The surrounding area is a marshy valley bordered by tall hills that separate Highmoor from the world beyond to the east. To the west, the Andromeda Ocean allows for access to trade along the water. Recently, however, the tyrannical Lord Xydus has taken over the area, making living conditions deplorable for the city's inhabitants and jacking up the price of food. Rumor has it that he has a connection to the evil god Azotl. Contact with the rest of the world through means other than trade have been limited in the past handful of years.

Known far and wide for its research in magic, Roark is considered a hub of learning in Adrasteia. It actually consists of two cities: Ro and Ark. Ro is a city that sits almost entirely over the water, with supports of enchanted wood making pathways that keep the city afloat. Just outside of Ro is a large, flat prairie that houses college for the school of Transmutation. The region is humid, wet, and hot through most of the year. As you get closer to the water, these attributes get more and more mild. Only accessible by ferry, the small island of Ark is perhaps a mile away from Ro (so close that either city is visible on the other's horizon). Ark is a bustling economic center and contains the city hall, Great Library (which is world-renowned for just how many books it has and is run by the local Mage's Guild), and College of Conjuration.
Both cities are fairly similar politically, sharing a government, treasury, and main church. Their government is a meritocracy, where officials are tested in the ways of science, politics, and magic in order to get into offices. Their leaders are a council that make decisions for the city. Roark is also one of few cities to have truly public school for its citizens to attend. Their main church is that of Mana'o that focuses on the Handmaiden's role as a giver of knowledge, but a similar church of Hikaru that focuses on similar aspects has begun to take root. Other gods are also worshiped in the city. It is noted that Roark's laws are particularly lenient compared to other city-states. They allow full freedom of speech and are supportive of all lifestyles within reason. For many common people, however, the thousands of layers of bureaucracy make it neigh-impossible to get anything done with the government. Criminals have noticed this as well as the lack of law enforcement in the city and have taken root in the dark corners of Roark.
Taverns: The Leaky Raft (Ro), The Hunter's Bounty (Ro), The Magister's Mark (Ark)
Located on the edge between the Fractured Kingdoms and the Vendollian Empire, Skylance is known best for its mass production of weapons. Skylance Steel is renowned throughout the world for its durability, only surpassed by Drachen Bronze and Orichalcum. The main church in this area is a cult of Desma that focuses around his role as a blacksmith, but other gods are also worshiped. Worship of Anapnoi is considered a crime in this city, but there are still plenty of people who worship the Thief underground. The city sits at a mild altitude on Mount Arcastle and is also home to a large iron mine that burrows deep into the rocky mountain. It has a democracy-based government where all citizens elect leaders in the form of a council (known as the Council of Arcastle). The Council of Arcastle then elects the true ruler of Skylance, but the council is also given the power to veto any choices the ruler makes.

So close to the Kagirinai Empire that it is connected by river to its capital, Xin, and yet so far that it is not yet a part of it, Elementine is an interesting city. It is mostly known for its production of luxury goods such as porcelain and jewelry. They actually specialize in no particular trade, importing almost everything in the city. The place is comprised of a variety of architectural styles, cultures, trades, and churches. Their military might is fair thanks to the city-state hiring out mercenaries to keep caravans from being harmed by bandits and whatnot. Their government is based around a Trade Prince / Princess, where the person who can purchase a position is put in charge. This often leads to corruption and incompetent leaders, but every so often you get someone who can keep the city afloat.
The city sits directly on the Tori River, with the river nearly splitting the city in two. Much of the city's trade is done through this river.
The Vendollian Empire has territory that runs from the Shattered coast down to the southernmost reaches of Adrasteia. The area is filled with rocky coastlines, rolling plains, and wet marshes. Below are listed some of the main cities that exist within the empire. The empire's seat is Ilragorn, where political and economic issues are managed by the emperor, John Vendollian. They previously were able to keep themselves up by raiding nearby regions, plundering their wealth, and trading their resources. Now, stopped by the armies of Skylance and seemingly unable to gain a foothold across the Prismatic Sea, the empire has been on decline. The gap between the rich and poor is becoming larger and larger, the empire's mercenary's are unable to be paid, and the current emperor cannot see how much the empire has declined.
The empire primarily renown the deities Bauos, Loxias, and Hikaru. Worship of Azotl and Anapnoi is banned by governments, but is still practiced in secret. Its cuisine mostly includes fish (as much of the empire is near to water), but the fertile marshes south of Ilragorn provide a lot of crops (like rice, wheat, lettuce, and a variety of berries). They are fairly advanced as far as magic goes, having access to teleportation circles that connect their three largest cities.
As the seat of the Vendollian empire, Ilragorn is a beautiful city that is bustling with wealth. Great spires touch the sky, statues riddle the streets, and lush gardens are around every corner. John Vendollian loves hosting lavish festivals in the city of Ilragorn that are renowned throughout Adrasteia. The city sits near the ocean in the mouth of the similarly named Ilragorn River. The city also sits in the valley of a handful or large, coastal cliffs.
The ocean was used to make a large irrigation system in the city years before. Most houses have working faucets and toilets in this city. Even for peasants, this is probably one of the nicest places to live in the empire. Because of this, it's also fairly expensive. Many people live in small villages outside of the city, only coming into Ilragorn on certain days to sell their wares. Wednesday is notably the day when many vendors return to the city to sell their wares. There's a temple for all of the legal gods in the city.
The harbor city of Koios, although not too centerally located, is one of the cornerstones of trade in the Prismatic Sea. The large city is mostly made from wood and stone. Travelers often visit the city thanks to the sheer number of unique resources that are sold in Koios. Even extremely rare items, such as Drachen Steel or the stranger material components, can be found in Koios. The city is, however, forced to import most of its food from other places in the Vendollian Empire thanks to its more isolated location on the Shattered Coast. The island that Koios is situated on lacks fertile farming land, but is easily accessible via trade.
Koios also has an irrigation system installed into the city, although not quite as advanced as Ilragorn's. It mostly extends to faucets in nicer houses or gathering spaces. The seawater here is purified through magical means.
There is a temple in this city of each of the legal gods.
The city of Fefery exists on the easternmost point of the Vendollian Empire. It is surrounded by lush plains and mountains, as well as the ocean. The city was actually developed with the help of Triton, which is why a lot more Triton-based arcitecture can be seen. The city combines enchanted wood with marble to produce a fairly unique look. Much of the Vendollian Navy is situated in and around Fefery, with the city containing the main base of operations for said navy. Fefery also contains a shipbuilding yard and a significantly larger temple to Kyanbasu than to the other gods. There are still temples for the other deities, however.
This city has the largest population of Triton compared to any other city on land in Aeonara. They have shaped the culture here and many have sided with the order brought by the Vendollian Empire. However, Fefery is also far from Ilragorn. News does not travel quickly to this city, and it mostly devolves into rumors spread by people who use the teleportation circle.
The Kagirinai Empire is one of the most diverse regions in Adrasteia. Connected by the Horizon River, these territories range from snow-covered mountains to windy emerald plains to golden deserts.
