Adrasteia is the long continent to the west. It is home to two of the human empires, the Kagirinai (north) and the Vendollian (south). The Vendollian Empire has a capital in the form of Ilragorn, a large port city. It is currently in decline, having ruled for many hundreds of years before now. Corruption permeates most high offices and most people agree that the current emperor, John Vendollian, is not a good ruler.
The Kagirinai empire, after a long period of civil war, is finally at peace. They are going through something of a golden age right now and are doing pretty swell. They are known for large amounts of trade in alcohol and fine fabrics.
In the middle of the continent is an area known as the Fractured kingdoms, which consists of a handful of city-states run by a variety of races.
Halfling-based towns exist in the spaces between the larger human settlements, but most of them aren't notable enough to mark on the map.
Borealis exists to the north. It is currently home to the Dwarves, Snow Elves, and many dragons. The large island to the west of the main part of the continent is known as Borealis Major and holds the seat of the Icecrown Sovereign (Snow Elf Empire), Elu'danel. The great city Elu'danel sits in the shadow of Kaldordrassil, the tallest mountain on Aeonara. Translated, Kaldordrassil
The rest of Borealis lies to the east and contains a lot of unexplored frontiers. To the very east, the dwarves have made their homes in the ruins of their anscestors. Previously, dwarves had been enslaved by the elves with use of a magic artifact. They only recently broke free and have been fighting the Snow Elves ever since.
To the south of Borealis is a human city-state known as Silvermere. This city is known for its observatory and university.
Lastly, to the south lies Toltec. Four races have claims on Toltec, including the Tabaxi, Orcs, Aaracokra, and Yuan-Ti.
The Tabaxi have made their homes in the jungles (known as the Wildlands) and exist as a great trading state. They export the rare goods that only grow in the jungle.
The Yuan-Ti begrudgingly share the Wildlands with the Tabaxi, although they are known mostly to stick to themselves. Yuan-Ti temples are not marked on the map because they are, for the most part, fairly small.
Dividing Toltec is a mountain range known as the Claws. In these massive peaks, the three Aaracokra factions (the Thunderwave, Skytalon, and Mistfeather) make their homes.
To the very south of Toltec is a great desert. To the west of Moonlight bay, it is nothing but sand and dunes in the form of the Palmyra desert. However, to the east, small vegetation grows in the immense heat (think Death Valley in California). North of that, a great savanna stretches to connect the desert with the Wildlands. In these harsh deserts, the orcs make their homes.
The Triton don't always love other races and keep their cities fairly secretive. All of them are deep beneath the ocean, although they are known to use the city of Fefery as a place to meet with the rest of the world. Though technically a human city, the harbor Fefery has the largest population of surface-dwelling Triton in one place.
