The DMHS Task Force's primary goal is to increase student representation. The fact of the matter is that the members of the student body as well as the Student Government receive little to no insight as to happenings around the school. Students voiced that they did not know who to refer to, should they wish for something to be done. The Task Force observed this as a frequent problem that came up when speaking to students on how to improve Desert Mountain during the Teen Town Halls. Students repeatedly mentioned that there was not enough representation on the classroom level. The Task Force's number one priority is to address this issue, because how can a democracy function, even at the school level, if there is no representation? The ultimate goal is for students to comprehend the capability that they wield and use it to their benefit as the years pass. The Task Force is
