About the College

Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre was established in 1974 to cater to the needs of Commerce education of the students from North Goa. The institution is located on a plateau overlooking the scenic flower village of Assagao, which has a rich cultural and environmental value. The campus is spread over a total area of 80,000 square meters.

This College is affiliated to Goa University and recognized by UGC. It has been Accredited by NAAC with “A” Grade (4^th Cycle) with a score of 3.15 out of 4.00. The institution has variety of programmes. Along with the regular B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. programmes, self-financing programmes such as B.B.A., B.C.A., M.Com., M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Environmental Science and Research Centres in Chemistry and Commerce add to the juggernaut of the valuable contribution to the institution over the last four decades in the field of education in the state of Goa.

Dnyanprassarak Mandal, a visionary egalitarian body, having a history of 113 rich years is the parent body of the college. The Dnyanprassarak Mandal is the oldest educational institution in the North Goa district. The Mandal began as a reformative agency during the times when Goa was under Portuguese rule with the focus on imparting education to the masses and making them aware of their rights and duties. Today, the parent body has grown like a grand old peepal tree, covering under its aegis, courses from KG to PG and beyond.
