ARV: Activism through Resources and Volunteering

When I began volunteering in East LA and the surrounding communities through EmpowHer, I realized the need for a central hub that points folks to a list of resources to navigate academia. As a first-generation Latina, I would not be where I am without wonderful mentors, friends, and the financial help from organizations like GMiS and Cal Bridge.

This page is a collaborative effort between close friends who come from similar backgrounds and is meant to share resources with first-generation and non-traditional students from underserved or rural communities currently in high school, undergrad, and graduate school.
