I am a Ph.D. student with Professor Fabio Pasqualetti @University of California, Irvine and co-advised by Professor Magnus Egerstedt @University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

My research interests lie in control theory and the collaboration of heterogeneous systems to explore natural phenomena and unknown environments using machine learning.

Background

Diana is a proud first-generation Latina from East LA, also known as East Los. Her interest in STEM began at Belvedere Middle School through the STEM club and Viva Technology program. In undergrad, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics (Fall'23) and Electrical Engineering (Fall'23) at Cal Poly Pomona out of a love and curiosity for both fields. Through internships, research experiences, and programs like Cal-Bridge Diana honed her passion for electrical engineering research that allowed her to keep exploring the beauty of mathematics through control theory.
