MEMBERSHIP IN IOWA DKG
Are you a woman educator looking for personal and professional growth?
Are you or have you been employed as a professional educator, or an undergraduate or graduate student in the field of education? Sunday School teachers, piano teachers, preschool teachers, paraprofessionals, day care workers, school nurses, counselors, technology directors, administrators, adult education teachers, and people in businesses who teach others are also eligible to be a member of DKG!
Join DKG...the organization that powers women in educational roles! Click BECOME A MEMBER at the right to learn more and find a chapter near you!
Once a chapter member in your area of the state contacts you, you are invited to a meeting to learn more about the chapter and DKG in general. The chapter then offers an opportunity to become a member of the chapter, and after dues are paid, your membership is active at the chapter, state, and international level. The chapter will also have an induction ceremony for each new member to welcome them to their chapter. A new member is inducted only once and may transfer membership if moving to another community.
An ACTIVE member is a woman who is or has been employed as a professional educator at the time of her invitation or has been retired from an educational position. An active member is expected to participate in the activities of the Society.
A COLLEGIATE member shall be an undergraduate or graduate students who meet the criteria as written in the DKG Constitution.
A RESERVE membership shall be granted only to a member who is unable to participate fully in the activities of the chapter because of physical disability and/or geographic location.
