ETA CHAPTER SUPPORTS NAMI FUNDRAISER AT TEXAS ROAD HOUSE!

Following our January 2024 Zoom Meeting (due to inclement weather) we spontaneously decided to support NAMI's fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse on Tuesday, January 30. Our January program was presented by Erik Gusfastson from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). His presentation was amazing and helped us to further understand the toll mental health can have on the lives of students, teachers and staff as well as other members of our community. Their outreach is absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed a very informative program despite not getting to meet in person!

CONGRATUATIONS TO COLLEGIATE MEMBER AGATA GUSKAROSKA!

In November, one of our collegiate members, Agata Guskaroska, received notification that she had been selected as the recipient of the DKGIEF Cornetet grant! This grant provides the money needed for Agata to give her dissertation presentation at the TESOL convention in Tampa, Florida in March. She is super excited and very grateful to have this opportunity as a member of DKG. We are so proud of her accomplishments!! Despite being a very busy graduate student, a wife, and a mom, Agata finds time to participate in our chapter regularly and even presented a program for us this past fall! We are so fortunate to have her in our group!
