As we have moved into our fall season, things have changed from the green of summer to the many colours of fall – golds, oranges, and reds. Now many of the colourful leaves have fallen and the wind is swirling them along my street.
For us, it takes courage to be willing to change, to believe that we can change, and to have courage to take steps toward change. In DKG Alberta, I believe we have courage to change what is needed and to keep all the good things that we do.
I feel we need to connect our world through extraordinary DKG experiences.
This has been evident to me from our discussions over the last term, from our 2025 Alberta Convention, from the Canadian Forum Conference this past summer, and State Organization Leadership Training from International.
There are often unheard voices. As we nurture new opportunities, we can build strong relationships in the spirit of challenge. We can inspire leadership and thinking “out of the box”. Communication is key.
Our theme for this biennium is From Leadership to Buildership: Celebrating Talents, Amplifying Voices. It is my hope to hold more opportunities for our Alberta members to discuss and explore topics of interest together – to celebrate the talents of our members and to hear your voices.
