COSTUME UNDERGARMENT
No undergarments are to be worn under your tights. Any undergarments at all can be seen under costumes and will not be permitted.
Costume Care
To ensure that there are no costume problems, students should not wear their costumes, accessories, or tights prior to recital photos, dress rehearsal, or the recital.
Hats should be stored in a hatbox or similar container to prevent damage.
Press all costumes prior to the dress rehearsal and the performance.
To release wrinkles in your tutus, hand them upside down on a hanger in the bathroom and immerse them with steam from the shower.
Fringe skirts come packaged with string wrapped around each piece of fringe. Please carefully pull this string off for desired fringe skirt movement.
Labeling
We recommend that each student's name be placed discreetly in permanent maker in his/her costumes, inside shoes, accessories, and tights.
Place costumes and dance shoes in the garment bag we distributed and make sure your child's name in on the outside.
Pack accessories in a clear plastic bag with your child's name, label which dance the accessory is for, and place inside your child's garment bag.
Tights
Students are required to have the same brand in tights so there are no discrepancies in color and style.
All combo classes, poms, cheer, musical theater, contemporary, and teen classes wear tights - Balera footed suntan.
Hip Hop routines do not have to wear tights, but white no show ankle socks are to be worn.
Extra tights can be bought at the Dancer's Kloset. Always pack an extra pair of tights.
Shoes
Please refer to the Recital Accessory List to ensure your dancer has the correct shoes.
Please make sure that your child's name is written in their shoes.
