About Me

I am a Lecturer in Statistics at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. I am motivated by the computational challenges for statistical analysis and uncertainty quantification of complex systems that frequently arise in biology, ecology, and epidemiology.

A focal point of my work is advanced Monte Carlo techniques for systems with intractable likelihoods and potentially computationally expensive simulators. With a background in high performance computing and computer science, I am also interested in getting the most out of computer hardware through code optimisation.
