David E. Mammoser, age 77, passed away at OSF St. Katherine Hospital in Dixon on November 30, 2025. He was born in Chicago on September 14, 1948 the son of Richard and Shirley (Marks) Mammoser. He is preceded in death by his parents, mother of his children, Florence “Flo” Mammoser-Nicioli, and half brothers, Frank Sheats and Robert Sheats. David worked at Casey’s in Oregon where he enjoyed helping the customers and serving them with a smile. He was an avid coin collector and a member of local Coin Club where he could share his enthusiasm with others who felt the same way. In his spare time, he liked watching sports especially cheering on the Chicago Cubs. But, more than anything David loved his family. He was a proud father and grandfather who always made sure to show up to their events and never missed a chance to make sure they knew how much he loved them. A celebration of life will be held in January.
Dave, in his service to the Coin Club, was our most recent Secretary! His commitment, attendance and professionalism will be missed.
