ABOUT THE LIBRARY

ACCESS TO THE COLLECTION

The library adopts the open shelf system wherein users can access freely the books and other materials on the shelves. The library collections are designed to challenge and support the student's intellectual growth and academic excellence and help them to identify themselves as responsible citizens of a global community.

ARRANGEMENT OF THE COLLECTION/RESOURCES

In organizing its collections, the library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification System which divides human knowledge into 10 main classes/topics, which are broken into smaller and smaller topics. Different topics are assigned numbers, known as "call numbers" pasted on the spine of the book. To easily locate a book on the shelves, the following categories of library materials are assigned with the following color codes for its call numbers: General References (Blue), Reserve (Green), Circulation (White), Filipiniana (Yellow).

BORROWING POLICY

College students are entitled to borrow five (5) books of different titles for overnight use only. The school ID must be presented when checking out materials.
