Q: What does FFA mean to you?
A:FFA was a way for me to dive deeper into my passions while being able to surround myself by people who share the same interests. FFA gives me a sense of pride because of my family's deep roots within FFA and the agriculture industry. I really couldn’t fathom to think where I would be today without FFA and everything that it has done for me. It truly is a place for me to grow as an individual and prepare myself for the real world.
Q: What are you looking forward to this year in FFA?
A: One word... learning. With such a weird year ahead I want to be able to learn more about members, chapters, and our district as a whole while adapting and embracing all situations. This is also a time to learn more about myself and I hope to grow as an individual and learn what it takes to be a true leader and serve the members to the best of my ability.
Q: Do you have any hobbies or activities outside of FFA?
A: YES! Outside of FFA I serve as the Junior Class President, I am also a member of the student council, science academic team, National Honor Society, German Club, and tennis team. I am also an 8 year member in 4-H and a member in CYO (catholic youth organization). I am a huge green thumb and love to take care of plants in my free time!
Q: What is a random fact about you?
A: I absolutely LOVE old music. Specifically 60’s music, thanks to my sister Katie for getting me hooked on the oldies. ;) My friends always make fun of me for it, but I love it so much it is worth getting teased!
Q: What motivates you to work hard?
A: All the people that believe in me and care about me motivate me to work hard. These people push me so hard to strive to be the best person I can and work hard to achieve and crush my goals and dreams. I consider most of these people my role models because there is always at least one thing I look up to them for. Their positive encouragement and advice really push me to work hard.
Q: If you could live anywhere, where would you live? Why?
A: Right here in Jay County, Indiana. This place is my home. My family's roots run deep here. I love the community and the small town life. I enjoy being an integral part of the family farm and hope to be able to manage it one day.
