High School District Chorus Auditions

All-District Chorus provides students of outstanding talent and musical skill an opportunity to sing together in a fine choral group directed by an outstanding guest choral conductor. Generally, this event is scheduled during the second weekend in February.

Any student enrolled in a 9-12th grade choral/vocal music performance organization as recognized by the school division (performance-based ensemble within the school curriculum), and who is recommended by the director of that organization, is eligible to audition for All-District Chorus.

Audition consists of a prepared piece (see below) and sightreading.

2019-2020 Audition Piece: Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind

Sightreading- Stepwise, begin and end on "Do", range is ti-la, eighth, quarter, half, dotted half, and whole notes. Quarter , half, and whole rests.

Soprano/Tenor in Eb

Alto/Bass in C
