Sir Terry Pratchett was a prolific English author and wrote much beyond the Discwold Series, such as his collaborative work with Neil Gaiman, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (1990), which was adapted by Gaiman for a BBC Studios and Amazon Prime 6 part mini series.
Pratchett wrote 70 books in his lifetime. His first story, Business Rivals, was published in 1962 when he was just 13. The following year the story was republished commercially with the title The Hades Business. Pratchett used the money he earned to by his first typewriter.

According to a piece written by Neil Gaiman for the Guardian much of Pratchett's work is about fairness and fueled by anger at critics including the headmaster who believed "six-year-old Terry Pratchett would never be smart enough" (2014). This sense of fairness and anger at things that are unfair is part of why Pratchett's stories are loved by readers around the world.
