Two of the most important dances in the Balearic Islands are the Ball del Fandango and the Copeo.
COPEO: the Copeo is from Mallorca and you dance it in pairs. They dance it on important dates.
It´s about the man that has to copy the womans movements.
BALL DEL FANDANGO: it´s a slower pace than La Jota.
JOTA: It was divided into two fragments: one instrumental and one sung. Although nowadays, this division is not usually produced and is simply based on keeping the rhythm accompanied by castanets.
