Computer Science is a wide-ranging discipline encompassing the exploration of computers and computational systems.
Computer engineering is a field that encompasses the knowledge and application of science and technology in the creation, development, operation, and upkeep of software and hardware components in contemporary computing systems and computer-controlled devices.
We used Trello to jot down everything that we would need to do, making sure that we did not leave anything out, so we wouldn't forget about anything. We started off following the instructions to build the RedBot. Since the code was already created and all we needed to do was copy and paste it, we were able to focus on the bot itself, helping us to understand how the Arduino circuits and several sensors incorporated within the bot worked. After that, we then build the tracked circuit, starting with the single gearbox and then moving on to transpose the double gearbox onto the tracked vehicle. We then built the virtual robot to help us understand how the code worked, and help us visualize what we needed to do with the wiring on the tracked vehicle, which we then did.
The RedBot robot is an Arduino-based locomotive robot that uses two motors to turn wheels in order to propel the robot forwards. The robot has bumper switches in order to detect collisions, as well as infrared sensors to detect lines on the floor. It is coded so that it can successfully navigate through a obstacle course as well as follow a black line on the ground.
The design process for the construction of this robot was particularly simple, since there were step-by-step instructions for the construction of the robot. The hardest part was combing different parts of code so that the robot could move independently if there was a line, but would follow a line once it sees one.

The robot uses a double gearbox motor for extra power so it can easily navigate through the building. The purpose of this vehicle is to locate survivors using touch sensors and infrared thermometers.
