RocketSim
RocketSim is a specialized design and simulation tool that let us build and test our rocket digitally before starting the physical build. By entering our rocket's exact dimensions, weight, and engine type, the software automatically mapped out our Center of Gravity (CG) and Center of Pressure (CP) to ensure the design was aerodynamically stable. We used the software to run virtual test flights, allowing us to visualize the rocket's trajectory and tweak the design in a safe, digital environment until we had the perfect flight path.
The NASA Rocket Modeler is a simulation tool used to analyze rocket performance by calculating the effects of thrust, gravity, air resistance, and aerodynamics. It allows designers to predict critical flight metrics like altitude, speed, and trajectory before construction even begins.
Our team utilized this tool to virtually test and refine our own rocket designs. By simulating various configurations, we were able to safely analyze our flight path, minimize potential failures, and optimize our aerodynamics before launching a physical model.
Final Rocket Testing
This was the spin test to make sure our rocket was aerodynamic.
