The Ventura County Long-Term Disaster Recovery Group (VC LTDRG) is a network of organizations that are coordinating to streamline support for those that were impacted by disaster in Ventura County. Our partner organizations include 211 Ventura, Local Love Project, California Strong, Jewish Family Service, CLU Community Counseling Center, UMCOR, The Salvation Army, United Way of Ventura County and Ventura County Community Foundation and others.
We have monthly Coordination meetings on the last Wednesday of each month from 12-1pm. The next meeting is Wednesday, April 29th.

Who can participate?
Any organization providing resources (The Three Ms – Money, Muscle, Materials) toward the recovery process may participate.
All participants are equal partners.
The VC LTDRG structure is set up to be guided by a steering committee consisting of representation from each of the following committees. A Facilitator works with the steering committee and coordinates the ongoing activities of the committees. Committees are focused on specific aspects of recovery.

Committees:
Case management: Works to coordinate efforts to help clients affected by the disaster including assisting with recovery plans and referrals to respective agencies to match needs with services.
Communications: Coordinates communications with the community.
Community Wellness: Works to organize resources in the areas of mental health, physical health, spiritual well being, financial and legal services, and the involvement of local social services agencies.
Finance & Fundraising: Works to secure grants, donations and other resources for Ventura County LTDRG partner organization's recovery efforts and coordinates with other entities (i.e. manufacturers, supplies, etc) to secure donations and funding.
Volunteer Coordination: Works to utilize experiences groups and unaffiliated volunteers to recovery projects (i.e. construction, tree work, brush clearance) to match the volunteer skills with project needs. The committee can also assist the volunteer groups with local logistics.
Impacted Households: Representatives from the streets / neighborhoods that lost homes.
