Destination Dawgs is a four semester program for people who have intellectual disabilities and others, to ensure that all people can achieve their highest capacity and quality of life.
The Destination Dawgs program strives to make sure graduates have gained new knowledge, skills, and competencies which lead to a rewarding adult life.
The team will track each individual's goal progress across five areas: Career Development and Employment, Academic Enrichment, Campus & Community Engagement, Building Independence, and Self-Determination.
Students who are part of the Destination Dawgs program will be involved with 4 domains each semester: academic courses, work-based experiential learning, social and extracurricular activities, and building independence. This includes taking courses related to their prefered career with other UGA students, participating in internships, volunteering, and so much more.
