Recently, our owner/founder was featured along with four other local Southern Illinois student journalists in the latest release of the Southern Illinois Sports Connection Magazine. Southern Illinois Sports with Chris Dexter contacted Dylan a few weeks ago and asked him if he would like to participate, Dylan immediately accepted the offer. The article highlighted five journalism students in Southern Illinois who either do it on their own or do journalism for the school in which they attend.

"Dylan Ellis is a senior at Johnston City High School. Dylan primarily does journalism in the world of motorsports. His primary coverage area is Southern Illinois but he goes as far north as Coles County, IL and as far south as Paducah, Ky. Dylan has two facebook pages that he updates and maintains as well as a photography business. The pages are DirtRacingNews & DRN Photography. Dylan mainly covers all dirt racing. He dabbled in covering sports at Johnston City High School for a few years beginning his sophomore year but decided to hang up the towel on coverage after the 2024-2025 basketball season to focus more on motorsports media. The mainsports Ellis covered while covering the school sports teams included Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Baseball & Softball. This spring, Dylan is playing the varsity baseball teams walk up music and acting as more or less a DJ for the school during games. He is doing this as part of a sports and entertainment marketing class he is currently taking."
