Both you and your dog should enjoy the entirety of each and every training session. If this is not the case then it is not the right moment to try to train. Training your dog should not be an inconvenience, we often get our dogs to enjoy life with them. The truth is, its much easier to enjoy life with your dog when it is well behavied and understands your expectations. No matter if you are working on introducing a puppy to the world or if you are dealing with an aggressive dog each training session should be quick and enjoyable for both of you.
My goal when training is to ensure that the dog in front of me clearly understands what I am asking them to do. While training, It is not ethical to expect your dog to perform a task that they have not previously shown they fully understand and therefore we do not do that. Consistent expectations are crucial to limiting frustration from both the dog and owner and ultimately to keep each session enjoyable and effective.
I strive to ensure that you are fully equipped with the tools needed to meet every one of your training goals. The end goal is that your dog will be able to meet your expectations under any distraction not just inside your home. I believe whole heartedly that there is not one method that works for every dog. Just like children, each dog learns differently and therfore if we try one method and it does not work then we will try another until we find one that works for your dog.
