Info for First-Year Students
Class of 2029
Class of 2029
All first year students are required to live on campus for their freshman year.
Full time students are guaranteed on-campus housing for their 4 years at BU.
Please note that this site was created as a direct swap resource. You can disregard these aspects as it is primarily for continuing students.
If you have any questions, see my contact information HERE
If you have a disability and your medical provider believes you would benefit from accommodated housing, contact Disability Services.
The system is notoriously slow and challenging to navigate, so reach out ASAP.
The gender affirming housing program is primarily for transgender, non-binary, questioning, and gender non-conforming students.
Everyone deserves to feel comfortable where they live, so reach out to the housing team to learn more!
I created a guide to the housing options on another page of this site. Click below to learn more
You will (MOST LIKELY) live in Warren Towers, West Campus, and Fenway Campus. This is where the vast majority of freshmen will reside.
Although the facilities can be a bit drab, these dorms are a FANTASTIC location for meeting others and making friends! Because most residents are first-year students looking to meet people, any of these are a good option!
Fantastic Location - steps away from all of your classes
Large building with thousands of students
Mostly doubles (some singles and quads)
Warren Dining hall and laundry
Location - a bit far from campus. Close to the gym and sports fields. Close to CFA and CGS.

Connect with your class on social media!
Many students go "random" and live with a random roommate their freshman year. This is good because there is no pressure to be BFFs.
However, many students select a roommate. This is good because you can find someone who you know you would get along with.
There is nothing wrong with either of these choices! It all depends on you!
