Grid electricity is expensive and difficult to access in many areas.
Grid electricity that is accessed, is inconsistent.
Uganda experiences 70-125 days of power outage each year
Power from a standard solar-system, decreases quadratically throughout the day.
DDS is inexpensive and easy to access, build, and repair.
8-9x cheaper than western solar grids
No need for connection to external grid
DDS electricity is consistent and predictable.
DDS is more environmentally sustainable.
No use of unsustainable, carbon-based energy sources
DDS's power decreases linearly throughout the day.
DDS has less parts, thus less chance for failure within the system
DDS systems are more cost effective and are simpler than traditional solar-power systems, and are better in many applications. DDS shines with large systems like LEF where there are many machines that don’t run at the same time, and the tasks they do can be rescheduled easily.
However, DDS is largely unknown by the general public, and largely disputed as even possible by those who have knowledge of traditional solar-power systems (since its concept is challenging to the fundamentals taught in academia regarding electrical engineering)--only as they haven't been proven wrong, seeing the wonderful examples of it working well.
