Motto: Structures have emotions-work on their vulnerabilities, rejoice in their redundancies!

Welcome to my site!

I work in structural earthquake engineering and closely related fields. My research interests focus on seismic vulnerability/reliability analysis of reinforced concrete structures, structural dynamics, artificial intelligence in structural and earthquake engineering, multi-hazard vulnerability/risk assessment, performance assessment of heritage and monuments, bridges under multi-hazards, local seismic culture, next-generation performance-based earthquake engineering (PBEE-2), among others.

Apart from my research works, I write a column in Nepal's most widely circulated national daily 'The Himalayan Times' [I have paused for a while due to my busy schedule]; sometimes I write for other national dailies too. I write in techno-social perspectives i.e. engineering technology for societal causes (in English). After the 2015 Gorkha earthquake in Nepal, I am continuously focusing on post-earthquake reconstruction, seismic code improvement, and capacity building in my op-ed pieces

I support gender-inclusive science/research, cultural diversity, religious freedom, indigenous technology, equity, and volunteerism.

I am fond of academics; love teaching structural engineering courses and have prior experience in the same field as well.

I love trekking (I quite all deadlines to climb up the mountains :)), climbing, exotic life, and midnight hikes.
