Dipali is born in Koregaon a small village in Satara district which is very near to Karad city in Maharashtra, India. After finishing her Bachelor of Science in Physics at Sant Gadge Maharaj (SGM) College, Karad in the year 2006 she moved to Shivaji University, Kolhapur to pursue her Masters in Solid State Physics. Later in 2008 Dipali joined for her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) under the supervision of Prof. Pramod S. Patil. She did her Ph.D. in electrochemical supercapacitors using conducting polymers and their composites in 2013. While doing her Ph.D. she also did part-time job at Gokhale College, Kolhapur as an Assistant Professor ad-hoc. At the latter stage of her Ph.D. she got Women Scientist-A project which was funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India worth ₹ 18 Lakhs. In the year 2015, she got an opportunity to work at Department of Physics, Yeungnam University, South Korea as an International Research Professor with Prof. Jae Cheol Shin and served on this position till October, 2019. Presently, she is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Yeungnam University. She is married to Dr. Sachin Pawar in 2016, a close friend with whom she did her Ph.D. together.
