2016
Press release for a paper I co-authored on a new theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Morocco. The original press release from Imperial College (LINK) was eventually reported by several main media outlets, most notably The Times, Daily Mail, Irish Times, Spiegel and the online website (in Italian) of National Geographic.
Radio interview at BBC radio Reading in the morning to discuss as an independent researcher the study from Sakamoto et al. 2016 (PNAS) on decreasing speciation rates for dinosaurs toward the end of the Mesozoic.
Outreaching event at Imperial Festival, giving a presentation on the evolution of reptiles and showing to audience and allowing them to pet several reptiles (geckos, corn snakes, bearded dragon lizards) and other exotic animals (scorpions, spiders, etc.).
During my first year of PhD, I was invited in several primary schools lecturing students on dinosaurs, evolution and Earth Science in general.
2015
Several Italian media outlets reported the news on a paper I lead on the youngest record of metriorhynchid crocodylomorph from the Early Cretaceous of Sicily (Italy). LINK.
Gallery Interpreter at the City of Science in Catania, (Italy) – curating and leading group visits for school groups of all ages. Main topics of the exhibition was the evolution of the Mediterranean Basin through time, presenting to the audience the fossil collections held at the Earth Science Museum of Catania University – May 2015.
