Fieldwork experience
2024 - ?
My current Royal Society funded research project focuses on the effect of hyperthermal events on Mesozoic-early Cenozoic tetrapod faunas. I am excited to join forces with Dr Lindsay Zanno, leader of the MADEX initiative (Mongolian Alliance for Dinosaur Explorartion), aimed at evaluating the impact of climate change on Asian biotas during the mid-Cretaceous. This interdisciplinary field campaign will collect data from southeastern Mongolia to evaluate the role of the most dramatic hyperthermal in the last 100 million years on dinosaur-dominated ecosystems of Asia. In the summer of 2024 I spent 40 days in the field working in the Gobi Basin of Mongolia.
