I am captivated by the full journey from materials discovery to commercial deployment of next-generation photovoltaics. My primary focus is engineering high-efficiency perovskite solar cells; I enjoy formulating triple-cation compositions and have pushed their air-processed devices beyond 18.8% power-conversion efficiency. Complementing the lab work, I model recombination and optical losses in perovskite/Si and all-perovskite tandems, using transfer-matrix and drift-diffusion tools to steer multijunction architectures toward the 30% efficiency frontier. Sustainability is equally important to me, so I devised a recycling protocol that allows transparent conductive-oxide glass from end-of-life modules to be reused three times without efficiency loss a strategy that can trim the levelized cost of electricity to 5–7 ¢ kWh⁻¹. I also relish developing wet-processing routes that marry solution-grown perovskites with textured silicon wafers for flexible and scalable tandem devices.
