Single-Junction Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs)
Fabricated PSCs using triple-cation perovskite compositions with surface passivation at ETL/HTL interfaces via alkali halides and 2D perovskites, achieved >18.8% efficiency in air ambient, and identified VOC losses.
Conducted a technoeconomic analysis of perovskite modules recycling using the System Advisor Model to estimate the levelized cost of electricity (5-7 ¢/kWh) and energy payback time.
Tandem Solar Cells
Simulated interface recombination losses in perovskite/silicon, perovskite/ perovskite, and a-Si/c-Si tandem cell via optoelectronic modelling.
Calculated optical losses using the transfer matrix method and ASA to mitigate parasitic absorption in tandem architectures.
Recycling of end-of-life (EOL) PSCs
Developed a recycling protocol enabling 3 times reuse of FTO substrates without efficiency degradation, cutting material costs.
Engineered a cleaning process for EOL substrates, validated through XPS and substrate mapping.
Solution Processing on Silicon Substrates
Developed wet processes for silicon wafers and solution-based deposition of perovskite films for perovskite/silicon tandem cell applications.
Optimized ITO via RF sputtering for silicon heterojunction cell, applied self-assembled monolayers, and engineered time-dependent surface texturing on silicon.
