The nearest airport to the venue is the New Chitose International Airport (CTS / 新千歳空港). International flights are operated from/to major airports in Asia - Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and more. For detailed schedules and routes, please check the airport website - International Air Routes. There are also plenty of domestic flights from/to Tokyo-Haneda, Tokyo-Narita, Osaka-Kansai, Osaka-Itami, Nagoya-Chubu, and more.

Have you ever heard of the Shinkansen - the Japanese bullet train? It's super fast (300 km/h!), safe, comfortable, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of northern Japan. That's a great option if you plan to travel to other parts of Japan. Take a Tohoku-Hokkaido Shinkansen from Tokyo/Ohmiya/Sendai stations to Shin Hakodate Hokuto station, then transfer to Hokuto Express to Tomakomai. (approx. 7.5 hr / JPY 30,000 in total)
If you are more ambitious, you can even take a ferry to/from the Tomakomai ferry terminal from Hachinohe, Sendai, Oarai, or Nagoya - Ferry company's Website. Buses are available between the ferry terminal and the Tomakomai Station.

In late September, temperature reaches 20°C during daytime, although it can drop below 10°C at night. Snow is not expected at Tomakomai and Sapporo in late September.

Venue hotel - Grand Hotel New Oji
All participants are expected to stay at the venue hotel, the Grand Hotel New Oji.
ATM: There is an ATM machine in the Seven-Eleven next to the exit of Tomakomai station. It will manage cards with Cirrus or PLUS marks. Please ask the front desk of the hotel for details.
Washing machine and laundry service in the hotel: There are 6 washing machines [2 on the 6th floor and 4 on the 8th floor (=smoking floor)]. It will cost 400 JYen (plus 50 JYen for washing soap) and takes about 30 min. Drying machines are available with 100 JYen per 30 min. The hotel also offers laundry service (~1,000 JYen/item): Clothes collected in am 8-10h will get back to the room in pm 5h.
Mineral Water: One bottle of mineral water (500ml) will be provided in the accommodation for the 1st night. If you need mineral water for other days, you can purchase at nearby shops. There are 3 shops near the hotel, in 2-6 min walk distance. In the conference hall, a bottle of mineral water will be provided everyday for each seat.
