Upon the implementation of using the CSCS activities in my classes, I have noticed a huge increase in student responses. Often times students are afraid to share their opinions amongst the class and having the anonymity allowed them to better share their ideas. While not all ideas were 100% relevant, it still opened up a new method for discourse and has encouraged other students to start speaking out. Another successful use of CSCS was the usage of pre-recorded videos for students to access outside of the classroom. I am in the process of creating a series of videos about proper lab techniques as the explanation of these techniques takes up valuable class time that can be used to complete the lab. Since wet-labs can only be completed in-person, the videos have allowed for me to maximize the time I have with these students. Overall the CSCS activities have been a major success but much work is still needed to perfect the usage of these activities in my class.
