About Culiat
Malaus ca Culiat!
Angeles City, Pampanga, was originally a small settlement of the Kapampangan people. Founded as "Culiat" in the 18th century, it later became a part of the municipality of San Fernando. During the American period, it grew significantly due to the establishment of Clark Air Base. The closure of the base in 1991, following the eruption of Mount Pinatubo, led to the conversion of the area into the Clark Freeport Zone, spurring economic growth. Today, Angeles City is a thriving urban center known for its tourism, business, and entertainment industries.
