Our Mission

At Duke Ivy League+ (DIL) Pre-Health Society, our mission is to empower undergraduate students to become future healthcare leaders. We provide students with exceptional opportunities to network with Ivy League and other leading institutions, building a robust community of future healthcare professionals. In collaboration with other Ivy League+ chapters, we have featured globally renowned experts, including state surgeons general and White House pandemic specialists, in our speaker events. Open to all Duke students, we offer avenues for impactful mentorship, connecting members with medical students, admissions officers, and practicing healthcare professionals to gain insight into medical school, research, residency, and diverse healthcare careers. Through unique volunteering opportunities, research support, and resources to assist with all areas of the premed journey, we cultivate a commitment to community engagement and scientific discovery. At DIL+, we open pathways to a meaningful, connected journey into medicine, empowering members to grow professionally and make lasting contributions to healthcare.
