I am an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Ashoka University. I completed my Ph.D. at the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, and was awarded the Fulbright–Nehru Postdoctoral Fellowship to visit the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Cornell University. I was also awarded the BRICS Economic Research Citation for my doctoral research.
I use applied econometric methods to study how risk, uncertainty, and market frictions influence household behavior and market outcomes in developing countries. My work is primarily motivated by questions in agricultural economics, environmental and resource economics, and health.
