Johann Georg Platzer - Dancing scene with palace interior 1730
We are organising a pre-conference reception on Monday 24 June 19:00-20:00, in front of the conference room M003. The costs for the reception are included in the conference fee. We do request that you indicate whether you plan to attend upon registration.
This year's DiGS conference dinner will be in the form of an informal buffet-style German dinner, which will provide plenty of opportunity to catch up with many different colleagues. The costs for the conference dinner are €50, which includes drinks.
The conference dinner takes place on Wednesday 26 June from 19:00 in the Katacomben of the university. The location can be accessed via the university's main court (Ehrenhof). It is located at the front left when entering the university's main court from Bismarckstraße.

The University of Mannheim is housed in the impressive Schloss, which was built between 1720 and 1760, and originally served as the winter residence of the Prince Elector of the Palatinate. It was intended to be the second largest Baroque palace complex in Europe, after Versailles, and its original interiors were one of the wonders of European architecture. The castle was unfortunately heavily damaged during the second world war, but the main part of the castle has been restored to its original splendour and is now open to the public as a museum.
We are offering a guided tour of the Schloss museum on Friday afternoon, after the conference. The tour will start at 15:30 and will last approximately 1 hour. The price for the tour is €9, and needs to be paid in cash at the conference registration desk.
