We are pleased to announce that the 25th Diachronic Generative Syntax conference (DiGS25) will take place at the University of Mannheim (Germany) from June 25-28, 2024.


Since its first installment in 1991, DiGS has established itself as one of the world’s leading venues for the formal investigation of syntactic change. More information about the history (and near future) of this conference series can be found at http://walkden.space/digs/.

DiGS25 will be hosted by project H3 of the DFG research unit SILPAC and Mercator Fellow Charles Yang.

Pre-Conference Workshop 

Legacy of the Penn Historical Corpora

Keynote by Beatrice Santorini, University of Pennsylvania

The main conference will be preceded by a one-day workshop "The Legacy of the Penn Historical Corpora", which will take place on the 25th of June 2024 and which will include a lightning session on tools for Penn corpora.
