TERMS-OF-USE - dtCalendar
Effective Date: 07-Jun-2026
Last Updated: 07-Jun-2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the dtCalendar mobile application ("the App"), provided by Digital Traditions ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
License to Use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App except as permitted by applicable law.
Informational and Cultural Use
The App is intended for general informational and cultural reference only. The panchangam timings (e.g., Raaghu Kalam, Yamagandam, Gulikai), tithi, nakshatra, festival dates, and sunrise/sunset times are produced by automated astronomical computation and may differ from regional almanacs, local traditions, family practice, or professional astrological guidance. Such differences can each be correct within their own tradition.
You should not rely on the App as a substitute for professional, religious, medical, legal, financial, or other authoritative advice. Verify independently before relying on any information from the App for important decisions.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Digital Traditions does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that the panchangam, astronomical (sunrise/sunset), calendar, or festival information it provides will be accurate, complete, or reliable.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Digital Traditions, its owners, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages; in such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Third-Party Services
The App is distributed through, and uses certain services from, Google (including Google Play and Google Play Services for on-device location). Your use of those services is also governed by Google's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.
Privacy
Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what the App does and does not collect. See the Privacy Policy at https://sites.google.com/view/digitaltraditions/privacy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
