Inclusion

Inclusion:

• What does inclusion mean? Inclusion integrates children with disabilities into mainstream classrooms (Special Education Guide, 2022). 

• Where did this come from? Inclusion began with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. 

• How does this affect general education teachers? In an inclusive classroom, special education teachers and general education teachers work together to meet the needs of students (The Understood Team, 2023).
