The first meeting of the project took place in I.T.S.E.T. "Manlio Capitolo", Tursi, Italy from November 24th to November 28th, 2019. In this first gathering of teachers from all participating countries, we came together and laid the foundations of the program.At the same time, we all took the first step - Social Media Literacy - by attending a number of seminars organised by the hosts of this first meeting, the hospitable Italian team. Finally, we had the opportunity for a cultural, historical and gastronomical tour.
The second meeting of the project took place in Siauliu "Romuvos" gimnazija, Šiauliai, Lithuania from September 19th to September 24th, 2021, with the participation of teachers and students from all participating schools. In this first meeting of the project with the participation of students, workshops took place related to Internet and Social Networking safety, while the results of the online research on "E-Safety on Social Media" were presented. At the same time, activities were carried out that managed to bring the children closer to each other, such as confectionery workshops, an evening dedicated to presentations on gastronomy and traditional dances from each country, and a tour to Šiauliai and the capital, Vilnius. Finally, the next meeting was scheduled in Íllora, Spain the following November.
The third meeting of the project took place in IES Diego de Siloé, Íllora, Spain from November 4th to November 11th, 2021. During the meeting, workshops were organized related to the safe use of passwords on websites and applications, as well as the attitude recommended to parents, teachers, and authorities to ensure children and adolescents’ safe navigation on the Internet. Furthermore, a tour to Granada, Alhambra Palace, and Íllora took place. The visit to the Granada Science Park where, among other things, robotics workshops and a tour to the Biodomo took place, was perhaps the highlight of the meeting. Finally, the students and teachers had the opportunity to get in touch with the local cuisine and the traditional dances of Andalusia. The next meeting of the program is scheduled to take place next February in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The fourth meeting of the project took place in Agrupamento de Escolas de Penacova, Penacova, Portugal from March 21st to March 25th, 2022. During the meeting, workshops were organized related to fake news, disinformation anf misinformation on Internet and their impact to the daily life of students. Furthermore, a tour to Coimbra and its historical university, Penacova, Aveiro and Costa Nova took place. The visit to the old windmills and to Penacova river was definitely a unique experience. Finally, the students and teachers had the opportunity to taste “bacalhau”, a typical dish of Portuguese cuisine. The next meeting of the program is scheduled to take place next April in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
The fifth meeting of the project took place in STAROPRESTOLNA Profesionalna Gimnaziya po Ikonomika, Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria from April 11th to April 15th, 2022. During the meeting, workshops were organized related to flipped classroom, progressive web application for online learning, future learning - new vision of the teaching and learning style. Furthermore, a tour to Veliko Tarnovo, Tsarevets hill, Multimedia center "Tsarevgrad Tarnov", Nesabar, Tryavna and Architectural ethnographic complex Etara, took place. The highlight of this meeting was undeniably the Bulgarian hospitality, which was the leader of this mobility. The next meeting of the program is scheduled to take place in two weeks in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The sixth meeting of the project took place in Vassiliadis School in Thessaloniki, Greece from April 29th to May 3rd 2022, with the participation of teachers and students from all participating schools. In this meeting of the project with the participation of students, workshops took place related to Artificial Intelligence and the introduction and usefulness of MOOCs in students’ lives. At the same time, the students engaged in ice breaking and team building activities that managed to bring them closer to each other. Moreover, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Byzantine Museum in Thessaloniki, participate in a City Rally where they had to use a certain application to find specific monuments of historical importance. Finally, teachers and students visited Mountain Olympus and a seaside area near Thessaloniki, exploring both the places and local dishes. Finally, the next meeting was scheduled in Tursi, Italy in June 2022.
The seventh meeting of the project took place in I.T.S.E.T. ‘Manlio Capitolo” in Tursi, Italy from June 13th to 17th, 2022, with the participation of teachers and students from all participating schools. Ιn this close - up meeting, all the partners were presented with 5 students-mentors from each school.These students were chosen for their critical and personal involvement in the project and for the material and outputs produced. This final step was a reward for the most engaged students and it increased motivation by providing a positive feedback and real appreciation for their work. Μore specifically, in this meeting of the project workshops took place related to Team-working for the glossary and infographics. Moreover, all participants were given the opportunity to go sailing, visit the historical area of Matera, take part in boating activities, take cooking lessons in a pasta lab organized in the picturesque village of Rotondella and visit the ‘Tavole Palatine’ archaeological remains. Inspired by all these places and activities, the students were motivated to take part in an Instagram competition, the results of which were presented in the closing ceremony during the final day. Last but not least, the students had the amazing experience of spending time with local Italian families and come across the culture, traditions along with tasting traditional dishes.
