Young people in Scotland's primary schools have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills which will become increasingly important to them as they move through their school years.
Working on the Pupil Digital Leaders Scotland Programme, learners have the opportunity to use their leadership skills to engage in meaningful learning experiences and collaborate with others to lead the learning process.
The Structure of the Programme
Working through the four digital themes pupils first develop their own digital skills and knowledge as leaders of their own learning before moving to develop as leaders of learning within their school by planning and leading activities and events for others.
What will Pupil Digital Leaders do?
Pupils may take part in organised code clubs run by other pupils or adults.
They will take part in individual or group projects to develop their own digital skills.
Pupils will run activities, clubs or events for other pupils within their setting or beyond.
How will the learning be recorded?
Pupils will share evidence of their progress towards the award by recording their activities and reflections in their Profile section of My World of Work. See the Teachers pages for more information on this.
Pupils may be awarded certificates as they complete each theme and for the overall completion of the award.
